Thank You Realmites and Minions!!!

It is such a pleasure to come here each day, whether the message forum or chat, and find so many caring friends.

Many of us here have seen what can happen to a safe haven when it is not lovingly cared for -- like an untended garden, weeds crop up and ultimately overrun the flowers.

Thank you all -- Melly, Skye, Clanmama, Kathy, Carrie, Glenn (and all other Realmites and Minions) for being the flowers in my garden, and for giving me the opportunity to be a part of something so special.

I, to, love watching this garden grow!!

Thanks Carol,,,,, you have been a great gardener and such a wonderful supporter of this site. I am really proud of this place and feel good here. We have some wonderful people coming here and you are certainly one of them. Thanks for all you do in keeping this garden weed free.

Hey Carol. I too enjoy watching the garden grow. Often while tending to my own garden I do see weeds. I have to pull them even though they are plants too but what happens is that the more fruitful plants expend their roots and grow even larger.

I have come to love the people I have met in here. This site and the people here have retored my faith in a recovery site that carries the messege.

This morning I attended my usual sunday morning serenity meeting here in town. The topic was sticking with the winners and graditude. I dear friend of mine said it best when she said. "What we share here in this meeting is like love letters to eachother. Our genuine love and concern for one another is a gift and I can feel the presents of my God here."

So many shared with heartfelt words untarnished by false statements and parrot talk. There was laughter and joy thoughout this meeting as it went around the room. There were tears too as one lady picked up a 15 years medallion and another announced she was going to be gone for a while as she has to go to a state hotel for a while for something she did while drinking. ( I asked for prayers for her menths ago when she crashed her car and lost her 5 yrs old son).

This meeting was better than a family reunion and after all we have become family. And share our courage strength and hope with eachother and our unconditional love. We watch eachother come in dimmly lit and heads down and witness the miracle of the eyes brightening and the head rising.

While sitting there this morning I was thinking of my family on line that I have come to know as well. (as best as one can on-line) And my thoughts were of this site and the people that not only built it but to those that visit it and I said a little prayer that it grow just like the flowers in the garden and that the weeds that come to set root in this garden become flowers as well.

I love all of you and pray that your day be as bright and joyful as mine this day. The sun is out, the temp is warm, the house work is being done and I am on a spiritual high!

Thank you Carol for this post and for all you do in recovery here and in the real world. Your good AA.

Namaste                   Glenn H

Carol what you said  got me to thinking  how  this place, Recovery Realm, is like my Secret Garden.

With spring just around the corner her warmth will nurture the tiny buds that will appear on the trees and plants. Browns and grays are replaced by a rainbow of colour. Darkness is gently pushed aside and the extra sunlight brings warmth and nourishment to everything it touches.

So  do the the chatters in here. They nuture each other with their warmth and caring.

It is easy to get swept up in the energy of rebirth and starting anew. With the darkness lifted and the weeds  gone we can all Come Alive, Grow and Bloom!

A Garden takes hold and flourshes with the planting of the first seed, and it grows because of the patience and time that comes form those who are charged with its care.

which all reminds me of a proverb-

"From Small Beginnings Come Great Things."
