Check in any dictionary and you’ll find the definition of the word “amends” as being change. People become tired of hearing the words “I’m sorry.” What they really want to see is a change in actions and attitudes. Change is inevitable….. It’s growth that’s optional. And you don’t have to be an alcoholic or “whatever” to be an asshole. I used to think people judged me by my intentions when in reality, they judged me by my actions. Honesty about myself was the first step…..then I had to become teachable. Learning how to listen became my biggest asset. I apologize for posting this comment in this forum. But I see to many people “memorize the words,” but never get walking the talk. It’s sorta like going to a restaurant and just eating the menu.
