Al-Anon Prayer
Prayer For Friends and Family
in Relationship with the Alcoholic - Addict
Memory
I forgive the past. I remember that everyone is a child of God.
We are all God's kids and the presence of God is within each one of us.
I remember to see and know that God's love and power is present
and I am recreated in this moment.
I let go of my old self image. I am not the Savior or the Rescuer.
Motives - Desires
I let go of my desire for other's to change. I focus on myself.
My intention is to grow spiritually, to be a demonstration of love and peace.
I let go of my desire to rescue another from the pain and
consequences of their own actions. I release my desire to fix others.
Actions - Behaviors
I let go of the need to control, manage, mother and manipulate.
I am not in charge. I let go of my expectations and attachments.
I am not attached to any particular outcome.
I trust that God has a Divine Plan for each one of us
and everything is on schedule. I let go of my fear and follow
my inner guidance.
I feel courage and patience as I Let Go and Let God.
Feelings - Emotions
I let go of my anger and frustration.
I let go of my hurt and disappointment.
I let go of my guilt. I release my blame.
I feel acceptance and love.
I feel an abundance of love that does not have any conditions or qualifications.
I feel pure peace and serenity.
Words
I let go of words that criticize and judge whether they are silent or spoken.
I let go of words that have a sarcastic or arrogant tone.
I speak my truth in a kind and compassionate way.
I express kindness and respect.
Thoughts - Perceptions
I let go of my ego's perception of how things "should" be.
I let go of negative thinking.
I let go of confusion and indecision.
I follow my inner voice of wisdom.
I listen my intuition and make the right choices and decisions.
I release any idea that would block my spiritual growth
or the spiritual growth of another.
Thank you God
I am always connected to your Divine Presence.
Amen.
